Unfortunately it's not 'automatic' as you suggested it might be because the drum loop I laid down previously is an audio (.wav) loop, not a MIDI file. Actually I'm fine with all the mechanics of inserting the track and getting the EZ Drummer midi file into the project, but the problem I'm having is that I can't get the MIDI tempo to sync with the audio. If not, then just click on the fx button on the ezdrummer midi track to open exdrummer, then open the midi browser in ezdrummer and drag the midi to want to test onto the ezdrummer midi track in reaper. you can now delete the existing drum tracks or drag the midi from the old to the ezdrummer track before deletion if you want to keep the midi from the old drums. Click on the last track in your project, then right click beneath it and select insert new track from template, then pick the ezdrummer template and boom, all set. If you don't have the ezdrummer track templates, search for them in these forums as they automatically setup ezdrummer with separate tracks for each drum and stuff. Sure, it is easy as long as the tempo and time sig are correct in the project settings which, most likely they are as you already have existing midi drums, it will be automatic.
